What do you do to be involved in the community?
First of all, my community is strange. I live in a steadily gentrifying area where lower class immigrant family neighborhoods are sprinkled with gaudy, new but hastily built, 3 story trust fund baby sanctuaries. They act surprised when someone is spraying the clouds with automatic gunfire after dark. If you call the police, they will literally ask you to look outside to see if you can identify the gunman. I wish I were making this up. I get involved by staying indoors most of the time and letting them battle it out. I’ll eventually reveal my presence and embrace the winner with open arms.
