IMO: If no one knows who you are outside your own circle of “worshippers”, yet you have paid for a blue checkmark on Twitter, YOU are everything that’s wrong with modern artists. All followers, no talent.

That’s one theory. I read a certain person explaining why she was paying for a blue checkmark on Twitter. She said that you get benefits/analytics that you don’t otherwise with the checkmark. I really don’t care what people spend their money on. All of that aside – “Twitter” now has a Gold-Checkmark which is essentially what the Blue-Checkmark used to be reserved for. The Blue is now this mid-level thing.

“Linked In” allows you to contact people who have unpaid members locked out from doing so. For example “Doug Bowser” of “Nintendo America” wont let people who are on there for free write him. There are gobs of others, but just to name one – I’m choosing him.

I guess “Youtube” cuts out all of the commercials if you pay for them.

“Spotify” lets you listen to what you want if you pay for them. Otherwise, you can just do Podcasts and music based on what you select.
