On bended knee I come to you
Unlike the way I used to do
Reaching out, and most sincere
Vanquishing my unknown fear
Your essence do I now invoke
Though once considered heartless joke
You touched me in my deepest need
Informing me I shall succeed
Do you sit on high, we ask?
To monitor our every task?
A touch. A whisper. Bless. Relieve.
I have no choice to now believe
Were you here through my decline?
Through war and death and doubt of mine?
Through heartache, grief, and bridges burned?
Through this I lived. Hard lessons learned.
We sometimes often go astray
Perfection we’ll achieve, someday
Allow me time like I gave you
